The best time Roy has run was a 9.89 142 mph in Houston at the Super Chevy Show on 10/31/93 with hurricane winds blowing across the track. He was told to run the 1/8 mile, but went for the quarter. Just short of the quarter, the fiberglass hood got loose, went in the air like a kite, and the truck went into the 9's and 142 mph.
